Hi, thanks for landing here! I’m Angela.
A little about me:
Growing up I spent my summers visiting Colombia to spend time with my family. I’m grateful that I was able to experience that “calor humano” of the lovely Colombian people and the delicious bandeja paisa and beautiful mountainous landscapes and fincas of the Cafetero region.
I love to romanticize even the most ordinary moments in life. A sunrise at the beach, the full moon, a walk in the park while alternating between serious and silly topics with a friend.
I am always on the lookout for fun and new activities when I am not working. I can be found laughing at an improv show, strolling through an art gallery, or swaying to my friend singing acoustic while playing guitar at a surf shop.
Shrek and the Twilight saga are my comfort movies. Every fall I have to “hold on tight spider monkey” while revisiting the rainy Pacific Northwest.
Humor, creativity, and authenticity are some of the values I try to live by. A day where I made someone laugh or brought them joy is a successful day to me.
How clients experience me.
Clients often describe their sessions with me as feeling like a “nice, warm hug” and a “safe space” where they can truly be themselves.
Many share that they feel comfortable, understood, validated, and genuinely heard. They appreciate having a space where they can open up without fear of judgment and often leave sessions feeling lighter, more confident and with a renewed sense of purpose.
My teenage clients have shared that they “like my vibe” and feel comfortable talking to me about things they might otherwise find difficult to express.
One of the things clients seem to value most is my ability to create a genuine connection through warmth, authenticity and humor.
My goal is for every client to feel supported, accepted, and empowered to navigate life's challenges, recognize their strengths and grow at their own pace.
Clients appreciate that I meet them where they are, without pressure or expectations to have everything figured out.
I believe that meaningful change begins with feeling safe enough to be vulnerable and knowing that you don't have to face life's challenges alone.
Above all, I want my clients to feel that therapy is a place where they can show up exactly as they are, feel genuinely connected, and leave knowing they have someone in their corner.
The clients I work best with.
I work best with people who:
Are ready to grow, make positive changes and create a more fulfilling life.
Want to better understand themselves and break free from patterns that keep them feeling stuck.
Struggle with overthinking, people-pleasing or setting healthy boundaries.
Want to build self-confidence, resilience and a stronger sense of self-worth.
Are navigating relationship challenges, breakups, divorce or unhealthy relationship patterns.
Want to develop healthier, more meaningful relationships with themselves and others.
Are experiencing life transitions such as starting college, moving, career changes, loss or new beginnings.
Want to feel more comfortable in their own skin and embrace their authentic selves.
Are looking for practical tools, fresh perspectives and a little encouragement along the way.
Want a warm, judgment-free space where they can feel heard, understood and supported.
Work well with young adults, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and Hispanic/Latino clients. I bring warmth, humor, cultural awareness and an open mind to our sessions, creating a space where you can feel comfortable being exactly who you are.
You don't need to have it all figured out. Just come as you are and we'll take it from there, together.
